The overall design is good: The looks are chic, it's relatively roomy for a compact fridge, it has glass shelves that can be removed, and I like the fact that it doesn't have a freezer compartment.I returned it anyway, because it was damaged - the top two rear edges were dented. I was willing to give it a try nevertheless, following instructions in the owner's manual: I waited the recommended 3 hours, then plugged it in, and switched to 5 (highest number). The compressor ran and after about 2 hours, the inside was cooled down to 41°F (5°C). When the compressor was working, the fridge was quite loud with a constant medium-to-high frequency humming and gurgling sounds. According to the owner's manual this is normal, but I found it unacceptable for a fridge placed in an open kitchen/living room area. The fridge also emitted a displeasing odor of plastics when the door was opened. It might take a week or so off electricity to get rid of this odor, before one would want to place anything edible inside.Otherwise, it's a nice little fridge... It might have worked for me if I could have placed in in a garage or somewhere else, where the noise doesn't bother, but then again, I'd probably have bought a larger fridge anyway.I'm exchanging it for the Danby 4.4 cf compact fridge, very much hoping that it is less noisy.
