5 out of 5 stars Huge storage space

This is a great product. We have a family of 5 and it is truly amazing how much more storage we have in this fridge then our last one.The general build quality seems very good however only time will tell how well all the seals, lights, and electronics hold out. Some of my favorite features.Miniature ice cubes no need to use the crushed ice feature unless maybe you want a mixed drink.Lighting is great even when full of foodCondiment storage is adequate. We seem to have lots of little jars and the design allows for storage in front of the door gallon storage bins this is very helpfulThe little storage compartments on the bottom of the fridge for cheese sticks and quick grab items for the kids. They are deep and easy access for the little onesThe sliding shelf for tall products like a 2 liter or pineapple this is used more then I thought it would be. We almost always have this shelf slid backThe Freezer is great the three shelves might be the best part.On the top we keep ice cream, extra ice, and things to that nature I have never had ice cream kept hard but soft at the same time "love it"The middle shelf all the bagged and boxed veggiesOne the bottom it is so deep there seems to be no bottom. It is large enough to hold a rack of ribs flat front to backNot so favorite. The ice maker is truly the slowest thing I have ever seen. Even on fast ice it can not make a full bucket in one day.Now that we have had full ice we don't run out but we still keep the bottom bucket full just in case. The touch buttons are sensitive to where they are touched or the touch area is just very small. We use the child lock all the time and it is hard to set and unlock without paying close attention to where your finger is.I give this 5 stars quiet, great space, not much larger physically then my last fridge, but so well designed there is much more usable space everywhere.

3 out of 5 stars great! except for 1 thing...

The ice maker leaks which results in freezing a thin piece of ice that clogs the dispenser. The french doors didnt quite seem to be fitting right either.Luckily I had a repairman come and fix it, so problem solved. Its just that when you spend this kind of money you expect the item to work entirely. One of my friends has the same fridge but has never encountered any issues, so I suppose its just a matter of chance.eve with the repairs, this is still the best fridge ive ever had.

4 out of 5 stars Nice large refrigerator, but...

This refrigerator has all the room you will need. Only problem is lack of space for larger items such as 2 liter bottles and milk. One shelf folds in half to make room for the taller items, but it still isn't enough. Removal of the whole shelf is necessary. The right door has room for tall items, but the temperature is higher there. A cold cuts drawer is full width of the interior making it impossible to open without both French doors opened. Two half width drawers would be more convenient. This way you would only have to open a single French door. The temperatures shown on the front door LEDs is lower than what I actually get with my two separate thermometers. The paddle that switches the ice and water on is easily marred. This happened the first time we used it. Just like getting a scratch on the hood of your new car on the first day. Polishing didn't help. We have a cabinet above the refrigerator that cleared by less than a quarter inch. Make sure you have at least 68.88 inches of height clearance. The manufacturer boasts a 10 year compressor warranty, but only includes a single year labor warranty. Ten or one year compressor warranty, you still need the extended warranty that covers it all for up to 5 years including labor. Most extended warranties will let you extend the length beyond the 5 years and include up to $100 for food spoilage. The ice maker alone will pay for the cost of an extended warranty if it goes out. Our ice makers have been replaced in the past. The doors are the only stainless parts, the rest is painted gray. This covers about all the negative items I found in the first two weeks of ownership. Overall, this is a very large spacious refrigerator. It looks great inside and out. The two extra drawers in the freezer are great for items like TV dinners and pizzas. A bucket is included for storage of extra ice. I found nothing negative about the freezer section. If the above items were addressed, I would give this refrigerator a full 5 star rating.

1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY

I purchased this refrigerator in May 2014 because of the mega-capacity and it worked great for 2 months. On July 13, 2014, I called LG for support as it shows "ER IF" error and ice maker/water dispenser is not working. A LG tech came out the following day and determined the internal fan was bad and he told me it has been a known problem for LG refrigerators (not just this model). The LG tech told me that the part was discontinued so he did not know what to order for replacement. He said he need to contact his supervisor to find out and order the replacement part. He scheduled another appointment for 5 days later to have it replaced for me as he should have the part by then. Four days later he called to reschedule the appointment for another 5 days later as he still got no words on the replacement part and he said he will escalate the issue to his supervisor. Another the 5 days went by, on the morning of the scheduled day, the LG tech called me to let me know that he will not come out to fix my refrigerator as he "just" found out the replacement part number and it is leaving Korea on a ship. He said it will take another week for the ship to get to the US, then another day to get from the warehouse to my house so he rescheduled me for 8 days later. Frustrated with LG service, I called LG support regarding the situation. I spent 30 min on the phone with them to explain the situation and let them verify all the info. I told them this refrigerator is not an old model and they are selling it in store. They knew the part replacement for error "ER IF". They put in the order for the part for me and attempted to call the LG tech that I have been dealing with but they were unable to get a hold of him. They told me they will call me back in an hour or so to let me know and they never call me back. Anyway, it has been 16 days and counting for a known issue with LG part to be fixed. It is amazed that LG does not have a replacement part of a discontinued part. LG phone support can order a part which never arrive, promised to call back to update but never does and LG tech could not find a replacement part for 2 weeks. If I have to do it all over again, I would sacrify the mega-capacity for a reliable product with a better service.
