1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money on Samsung

Ice maker dumped ice in frozen together clumps within a couple of months after purchase. Called customer service and their solution was to shake the ice tray everytime ice fell. Seriously, do they think I am going to stand there all day waiting for ice to fall and shake the bucket? After several months of trying different things, and paying more than $500 in service visits, it was determined by the last technician that the rear support for the icemaker was broken. It was leaning so water was spilling across the cube dividers and freezing into one clump. The technician said the anchor was a molded piece and could not be replaced. Technician filed an unrepairable ticket with Samsung and said they should replace or refund me for the refrigerator. He warned me that Samsung customer service would give me the run around trying to get me to give up, and he said to be persistent. They put me through their customer service grinder for three weeks and ended up coming back saying it was due to customer abuse. The only way one could possibly break the rear support would be to cral into the freezer compartment and hit it with a hammer. I can assure you I did not do that. Now I have turned to the BBB for help. Take a look at the other Samsung refrigerator reviews on Amazon, and you will see low ratings. Let me tell you that those low ratings are warranted.

1 out of 5 stars LOUD popping noises
Jake

This fridge makes LOUD popping noises (probably metal or plastic expanding/contracting). Samsung says the loud popping sound is "normal". Give me a break! A sound that shoots you out of your chair is "normal"?! Samsung has used cheap materials in manufacturing and won't man up and fix the problem. I’ve found dozens of other customers with the same issue (one person said a repair guy FINALLY found the issue after 3 house calls. It was a back plate behind the heat exchanger that was flimsy metal). The solution Samsung gave me was that I call a service center. If they find a problem the service center can bill Samsung, if not, it's out of my pocket. I've had this fridge for 3 months. Thanks for the great product and service Samsung (yeah, that's heavy sarcasm).

Fridge makes loud popping noises throughout the day and night which Samsung refuses to repair or acknowledge as unusual.Stay away, it will keep you awake at night.

3 out of 5 stars Tick, tick, tick...snap! Bang!

I purchase this highly rated expensive frig in October 2013. It's beautiful inside and out and keeps everything at the proper temperature. It's roomy and well lighted. It sounds like there's a creature inside trying to get out. Daytime activities step on the noise but night time quiet echos the creatures inside. Troubleshooting problems list these "unusual noises" as normal however I never had a frig making these noises and I go back to ice boxes.
