A repairmen came in wanting to replace this and was going to charge me $375. I looked and saw the part was $20 bucks and took the chance to install myself. Presto...my LG Fridge was fixed for $20 buck. Worked great!!!!!

I inherited an LG fridge with a broken defrost function. The rear freezer compartment was a solid block of ice. The temperature sensor and heating element were fine but the fuse was blown open, so I replaced it with this one and now everything works. Easy!

So I didn't want to pay $$$ to have my LG fridge fixed when all searches on Google said it was this low cost sensor. So I bought this, and started the long arduous task of disassembling the freezer compartment. Well it wasn't easy, but once it was all taken apart we were able to easily install the sensor. Make sure you have zip ties available as they are used to attach it to the coils. I would recommend that you do it yourself, but only if saving the $$$ is worth it to you.
