Frigidaire Customer Service is AWFUL!!!!!!!!

If you are considering a new refrigerator stay far far away from Frigidaire. I used our new one for 3 1/2 months and the freezer started frosting up and the refrigerator was only keeping things 1/2 cold. We have had 4 service calls and 20 phone calls to Frigidaire. As of today, it will be the 6th time I have had to empty to frig to have another repairman come and supposedly "FIX" it. When you call Frigidaire, they are rude and totally uncaring. The only way we finally got some action was by going to Lowe's (where we bought the appliances) and spending two hours there with the appliance manager who finally got some response from Frigidaire. I would NEVER buy another one of their appliances. (The only plus (?) is that you do get to talk to people in America as opposed to Pakistan/the Phillipines/India/etc etc). But it doesn't do you much good if there is no resolution to your problem. In all the calls we made, there was only one rep that took the time to read through all our documentation.

We have had this refrigerator for just over a year. The main door handle broke within a few months and it was replaced under warrantee, but the new one has also broken. The freezer is very small and lacked a shelf as standard. The doors are a joke. The bottoms of the shelves are smaller than the sides protrude, so that smaller bottles and containers just fall through. The shelves also protrude into the interior space, so things have to be packed well in to avoid fouling the door. The door seal does not fit well. The interior light switch is so close to edge operating it that it sometimes gets fouled by the door, especially when the door shelves have glass bottles in them. The door does also sag with weight. Sometimes closing the door will cause the freezer door to open. The freezer door handle has a lethal sharp edge, which caused a severe cut on my forehead and scrapes on other operators of the fridge. The shelves are flimsy and bend under the weight of things placed on them. The new soda bottles do not have enough room to stand up straight, neither in the doors nor on the shelves. A plastic cover on a compartment in the door does not have enough weight to hold the contents in place, and the contents will often drop on the floor when opening the door. Generally the design of this thing is awful. For a maker that has been building fridges for so long this is inexcusable, it is as though they just let a young designer loose without constraint, and never checked it in use. The fact that Frigidaire put something so inferior on the market has soured us on all Frigidaire products. We are now looking for another fridge, after only one year of putting up with this piece of garbage. Never again.

I have had this refrigerator for two months now. Two defective parts have not yet been replaced as of today. I don't understand the delay. I think Shannon is the only person working there.Liz Joves1/6/12

The Frigidaire refrigerator, arived on time! There was a slight dent, at the very bottom, on the left side. Otherwise it was OK. I'm not sure how well it's working as it is being used at a rental I own. I will check with the renters, to see if it is functioning OK!!
