3 out of 5 stars Good unit - with flaws you probably can work around

First section was a pre-delivery reviewJust to let others know that either Amazon is intentionally stating "ships within 2-3 days" regardless of reality - or HCCost 'lets' Amazon perpetuate this notion. The reality is that I ordered this on Dec 22 - and delivery is set for tomorrow - Jan 9. That's not 2-3 days. Normally I'd let it slide but this is holding back a kitchen build-out so if any others are in a time sensitive situation, what Amazon states isn't worth planning around.I'll come back later and let you know how well this unit works.*** Jan 12, 2014 updateReceived, up and running, neat little unit - really freed up space in the regular fridge by moving all beverages and drink-making bottles to this fridge.Temperature fluctuations are a bit higher than expected - despite being full of beverages, which should stabilize. I have mine set to Celcius - and it cycles plus/minus 3 degrees Celsius off setpoint. In other words, don't keep your milk in this one. Mine is set to 2 degrees C but the display shows from -1C to 6C and I think I saw even 7C.Quiet enough, and I haven't built it in yet, just sitting in the kitchen right now.Whoever designed this forgot about normal bottle heights - annoyingly - Campari, Vermouth and other bottles are a hair too tall to fit in the top drawer, standing up. Lower drawer is even lower. I had to lay the bottles down in the top drawer.I take 1 point off for the temperature fluctuations, and 1 off for not accommodating standard adult beverage bottle height in the top drawer.Good unit otherwise.*** April 16, 2014 updateThought I'd let you know that it's a quiet unit - built in. Still fluctuates more than I'd like, and I keep it stocked with lots of soda cans and other beverages, so the thermal mass is there. I think that Electrolux set a wide deadband on purpose to make it more energy efficient - rather than let users opt for a more frequent cycling to manage temperature swings better. The unit could do it, but we can blame the government regs for the wide fluctuations. (I'm a process control engineer, this is not a wild guess) Read more ›

5 out of 5 stars just purchased after years of searching
Anita R.

I just purchased this refrigerator after years of searching and price shopping. The price was $1000. less than I could get it locally and it works great so far. We have had it set for 38 degrees and it is very cold. The amount of space it provides is amazing compared to the under the counter compact refrigerator we had previously used. I would highly recommend it!
