Three years ago we purchased 5 major appliances from Electrolux...Oven, Electric Range, Freezer Refrigerator, Microwave and Dishwasher. Last year while out of warranty the oven failed...fortunately,Electrolux replaced the unit....last week our refrigerator and range went belly up.....repairs not possible....on the range, all 5 burners lit up even though only one burner was turned on....the only way to shut the unit down was to turn off the circuit breaker...we spent $180 for an authorized Electrolux service to diagnose the Refrigerator......he stated that the Ice Cube maker was improperly installed leaving a "light leak" therefore leaving a gap for warm air to enter the ice cube maker causing it to freeze over....this started a chain reaction to cause the whole refrigerator to fail....Calls to Electrolux were futile.....bottom line...we are on our own...no repair, no replacement....we are out over $8000 after 3 years of use.....wondering how long before the microwave and dishwasher go kerplunk....DO NOT BUY ELECTROLUX

Bought this fridge in Oct 09. With in a week it had leaked and ruined my new hardwood floor! Electrolux did finally did pay for the repairs. Then the ice and water go out! They send someone who just patches it so it will work short term. We tried to have it repaired but no one will work for Electrolux because they won't pay the going rate! They finally found someone who would work for the low amount. They were here many, many times, new parts, directions from tech support, more parts, still neither water or icemaker work! Now they want to offer me 70% rebate (not including tax or delivery) I must buy the same model. Worst is their customer service. They want me to buy the unit ($4013.40) up front then they say in 4-8 weeks I will get the rebate of $2589.30, leaving me to pay $1424.10 for a product I have already bought! I am a retired widow on a fixed income and can't come up with over $4000 before their deadline! I feel this unit should have been field scrapped and I should be given a replacement.

I could not agree more with the only review at this time. My experiences with Electrolux have been very disappointing. I posted my comments about the waste of $3,600 on their refrigerator. It leaked, shelves had to be replaced and other parts. Ice maker does not work. I have spent money on repairs, but they cannot repair it. I have no interest in posting except to warn potential purchasers to do so at your own risk. In my opinion, poor quality and design, which as been verified by repairmen. Originally it was only the refrigerator well within the first year. Now trouble with other appliances. I wish someone would have warned me.
