It was more than I expected it to be; I live in a room and it fits perfect. Its a great price for a mini fridge I would recommend this to my friends. Nice

1 out of 5 stars Avoid this maker of junk units!!
Brian P. O'neill

Compete junk! Refrigerator failed inside the warranty period and Haier did nothing to assist or to amend the issue. The freezer was fine, the refrigerator warmed over spoiling the food. Attempts to get resolution were frustrating and company did not care. Found out multiple owners are experiencing similar one-sided or full failures and also felt the units are junk and the company response was equally terrible. AVOID Haier, find another company. Model unit was HNDE03VS. Will never purchase this brand name again.-certified owner.

1 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
FMH

I am so disappointed. I bought two of these to sit side by side in my garage, one as a refrigeration unit; the other as a freezer. We have a larger family and cook/entertain a lot, and needed the extra space to house our necessities. They LOOKED so lovely, side by side...and for the first year, everything was working out great. Then, I went to open the freezer unit one day after being on vacation for almost two weeks, and the food was no longer frozen!! After pitching conservatively $200-250 worth of lovely frozen meats, seafood, pizzas, ice creams, etc. I called the repair service Frigidaire had recommended in to fix it, assuming due to the age of the unit, it would be an easy fix - not so. He said that the freezer had a "refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil" among other issues with the cooling fluid. To complete this repair, it would cost over $600. Keeping in mind I had already spent $89 for the service call, plus the $250 of lost food, I was pretty upset. I paid around $700 for each unit (plus tax and delivery charges). Net/net, I am at a complete loss.I called Frigidaire back in hopes that they would do something to save face. While their customer service rep was very polite and understanding of my problem, they only offered to cover the parts ($71) while I would be stuck with the labor charge ($551) and then recommended I buy the extended warranty "next time." Not a fair concession. Now I have a side by side, one functional (for now), and one a big, empty, worthless box. I need to get another freezer, but will now be forced to buy another brand, resulting in a mismatched, unsightly pair.More than you need to know. What you DO need to know: DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE!! Never in my life have I heard of a refrigerator or freezer conking out after 13 months!

4 out of 5 stars Not as bad as I thought
Barry Creighton

First, I did not buy this fridge through Amazon. I thought about it, but the reviews were so terrible that I decided not to get one. My wife had other plans though, hehe. After looking at the reviews of other refrigerators I could pretty much see that no one loves their new fridge, at least not by the reviews they are leaving. I have a 15 year old double door fridge/freezer. After all this time, and we still have had relatively few problems with it. I wasn't really wanting to give it up, but my wife informed me that its looks are a little outdated and time for a new one.So, seeing the terrible reviews for this fridge, and pretty much all the rest, I decided I wasn't going to pay retail value for it, or anything close. I found it as a dent/scratch item at Lowes for about half price. It has broken on it every problem I have ever seen described by reviewers. The fridge ceiling above the fridge lights was actually partly melted and cracked from the bulbs being too hot. One handle had been broken off. They were wires ripped out of the ice maker. Most of this I had Lowes fix as part of the deal. I had to seal the cracks in the ceiling with silicone. I then replaced the 40 watt bulbs, ridiculously hot, with 20 watt bulbs which provides reasonably sufficient light, and no more problems with the ceilling.I made my wife keep our old fridge, being convinced after owning this thing for several months it would break and my wife would regret purchasing it and either return it to Lowes or sell it. Well, it hasn't happened. Nothing else has broken on it since we've had it replaced, now some 3 months ago.I will say it makes some odd noises and is not super quiet. In fact, sometimes it sounds possessed hehe. But, it doesn't really annoy me, and it is too far from the bedrooms to cause any disturbance to sleep. The fridge is huge compared to our old fridge and sticks out beyond the counters a good 6 inches, which looks kinda odd, but wow the space is nice. We were thinking of getting a second fridge for the garage. Won't need that now.One reviewer noted the ice make not only breaks a lot, but both (it has two) are super slow. Maybe I'm used to our old ice maker, but with our family of 4 it has no problem keeping up and the extra ice in the bottom is handy for summer activities. So, so far I'm suprisingly ok with this fridge. If I change my mind in a year or so, I'll be back with an update. Read more ›

3 out of 5 stars Noisy but it works
Arthur Dameron

If you don't mind the constant fan noise this is a very nice fridge. I returned mine because the noise was bothersome. The fan runs almost constantly over the ice cubes to keep them cold. The ice maker is in the refrigerator compartment not the freezer so it requires the cold air blowing across the cubes to prevent them from thawing. My floor space is an open concept so the kitchen opens up onto the living room and the noise was just too much. The fridge itself is very nice. Roomy, well-lit, loads of options for placing things in doors, shelves or bins. One of the shelves slides under another which is convenient for storing tall items. The water dispenser and ice cube dispenser on the door worked perfectly. The water was chilled...bland tasting...but cool. Yes, this is a good fridge and if my kitchen were isolated from my living area I'd rate this a 5 star.

4 out of 5 stars Fridge works great and was a great price
lewis

Delivered on time. Fridge works great and was a great price. Only thing that is bad about it is. Refrigerator is delivered by Freight company that leaves the fridge in the garage or on the sidewalk outside home. So you have to find a way to get it from there to where you need it.

1 out of 5 stars Beware Frigidaire Galllery Refrigerator
Mewnhb

Purchased Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator in October of 2011. Ice maker and bottom freezer shelves needed to be replaced with months. The noise of this machine is unbelievable and it runs 95% of the day. We call it the "jet". Unfortunately my once quiet Gallery dishwasher is now competing with the fridge. The worse part of the appliance is the lack of customer service with Frigidaire. When you call them it becomes an immediate pitch for an extended warranty. I am convinced they made their appliances not to last a year or in my case several months. So we are now saving our $270 (warranty for fridge only) to put towards a new refrigerator of a different brand. BTW we also will be replacing the dishwasher & microwave as well. They were pretty however practical use of product was ugly.

1 out of 5 stars Frigidaire does not back up their products. Don't waste your time and money.
Amazon Customer

I have a Frigidaire refrigerator, it is only two years old with a bad control panel. After looking it up on the Internet, I found out that it is a common problem. I called Frigidaire's customer support for assistance, they told me they couldn't help me because it was out of its one-year warranty, but they were "nice" enough to give me phone numbers to license repairmen. After informing them that many consumers have complain about this on the Internet and that my previous refrigerator lasted almost 20 years but cost much less, they continue to refuse responsibility. I am really disappointed and will never purchase another product by this company.

This situation brings up a peeve of mine with Amazon. It seems that when I look to order a part, I am gifted with a display that features a number of other "similar" parts at varying prices. Well here's a tip - be sure you know what you are ordering is you are looking for the best price. This part was supposed to be a 12722813AP, but I mistakenly went for the 12722803AP at a reduced price. That one different number in the part number gave me just about the same thing - but 2 inches shorter. I did return it, and the process was great, but ...

3 out of 5 stars Bosch B26FT70SN
Jerry

I purchased the Bosch refrigerator when the previous fridge died. It had the fewest on-line complaints and was actually made in the U.S. rather than Mexico. While it's really too soon to actually rate this refrigerator because I only just got it a week ago, here are some things that i've found:1. The stainless steel isn't actually stainless so fridge magnets will stick.2. The stainless look is on the doors only, sides are dark brown.3. The ice maker makes plenty of ice.4. The water line for the dispenser freezes often so no water comes out. (This doesn't seem to affect the ice maker though.) Don't set the controls below the settings shown in the manual. If your kitchen is cool the fridge temperature may have to be increased.5. The produce and deli drawers take up a lot of room. So tall bottles aren't able to stand up. Also if you don't purchase mostly produce you'll be surprised at how little room is left over.6. Both doors must be open to access any of the compartments.7. The warning beeper sounds for about five (very long) minutes after you shut the door (if you've left it open too long). This is quite annoying.8. The Sears installers will scratch the doors putting the handles on. (They don't level the fridge either.)9. Six 12-pack cases of cans fit just right with no wasted space.10. There is no positive indication that you've pressed any of the buttons and the mode selected is sometimes not clear.11. It's very quiet.12. The display shows only the settings. A thermometer(s) will still be needed to know what the inside temperature is.13. Everything inside is very well lit.

We bought a Bosch fridge 2 weeks ago after our 9 yr old Maytag fridge stopped working. NEVER buy a side by side Maytag fridge!! NOTHING but trouble 2 weeks after the 1 yr warranty was up. Compressor finally quit after 9 years, lost 100's of dollars in food, paid $100 to fix the fridge every 6 months.Anyways, purchased a Bosch B26ft fridge w/french doors & water dispenser/ice maker. First of all, it is clean and beautiful in our kitchen. There is a lot of space for various sizes and shapes of food and food container. Maintains constant temperature with little fluctuation. I LOVE the water dispenser and ice maker. We had this in our other fridge, but the ice and water always had a background taste. The bottom mount freezer is fantastic. Very easy to organize items and therefore, you can store much more. The only possible down side is that the exterior is easily fingerprinted/smudged. Considering the use of a fridge is to keep food stored properly, I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase. I will update my review after 1 year.Bosch B26FT70SNS 25.9 cu. 4 out of 5 stars If you have ice maker problems with this model read this!
Val from Annapolis,MD

This is a Great Fridge with a slight design problem on the ice maker. If your ice maker stop working, the reason for it is not that it broke but rather it just somehow froze in so the moving parts stop moving! Do the following: physically remove the ice maker from the refrigerator for about 1 1/2 hour. It will give it a chance to defrost it. Pour out the remainder of the water from the plastic housing re install the ice-maker as it was and here you go! It will work again! Try this! It will work! It work for me! I had the repair man replace the unit under warranty and after the nonworking unit melted out it worked again! Little inconvenience but it will work and it is free!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Pleasant refrigirator, awesome design, large and well lit
Hans Blix

I purchased this from Sears with good discount. I was happy with the cost. It was scheduled for delivery after 20 days. I was nervous investing that much on a refrigerator. But when Sears folks delivered and installed it well, and I was not disappointed.PROS:1-Looks, it makes your kitchen a lot more sellable. Ready for HGTV?2-Inside is roomy3-Well lit4-Ice and water outlet is flat and looks very modern. It is touch sensitive, not push sensitive. Just touch onto the buttons, they come off.5-Water coming out of the dispenser is filtered and has very pleasant taste. Filter is inside the frig easy to access. It is very small, won't take space.6-Flexible interior adjustment: you can move few thing around, and fit a Heineken keg easily.7-temperature separated sections: Upper part has 3 temperature separated sections.a-Regular larger section b)vegetables section which keep veggies moist and cooler c) deli section, which keeps meat coolest.8-Freezer is roomy with one large bottom section, and one drawer to put boxy stuff in orderly manner.9-External light is pleasantly lit and ambient: yet to find a way to keep it lit nonstop, but blue water-ice outlet light is very nice in dark.10-The Ice maker does not take the entire inside section of the right door where ice dispense is located outside. It is so well designed that you can still use the inside shelf located in front of the dispenser part of the fridge. most of the other brands use the dedicate that section for ice machine.11-Best buy for a luxury frig under $2,500.CONS:If any..1- Due to nature of french-doors, the doors do not self close, Therefore, you have to give a light push to ensure that the doors close, which outlines the alarm issue many users are complaining about. But, if you close the doors properly, alarm will not sound, period. So, close the doors.:)2-A bit pricier than average regular frig, but this is not an average frig. This is a Bosch and this model cost twice as much in Europe.3- Stainless steel stains, but this is the nature of the stainless steel. If this is a concern for you, avoid stainless steel fridges.VERDICT:BUY IT !!!! Read more ›

4 out of 5 stars LOUD!
rmc

I did a LOT of research before I bought this model. 26 out of 32 people gave it 5 stars. Well, I like the fridge fine but it is so LOUD! I know others complained about it, but I wasn't prepared for how noisy it is. My old Kenmore, which I had for 23 years, made no noise at all. I can hear it on the other side of the house. Sounds like a dishwasher running. Even my two cats look up, like, what's going on? And when the ice falls into the bucket, they jump. I have called for a repair person to come later in the week, but based on what I've heard others say, I don't expect anything will happen there. If I return it, there will be a 20% restocking fee (which would be over $108 dollars and I would lose, of course, the nonrefundable delivery charge for a total of $168. Or, I can replace it with the exact same model. The previous reviewer said shame on GE, and I agree. Shame on GE for such a noisy appliance. I thought modern appliances were supposed to be better!!!!!

3 out of 5 stars Good but Noisy
elizabeth

After my new G.E. fridge was plugged in, i thought the strange sounds it made were perhaps the device doing some sort of adjustment. I believed the noisiness would diminish. 'Wrong'! I have owned 'two' other refrigerators in my life-time and never experienced such odd 'loud' sounds. I began to fear that I had a 'lemon'..and with one particular sound that mimicked a 'sputtering fan with its motor dying', I became anxious that the whole thing was going to 'gasp' and die! I was told,..not to worry,..but to expect that this model would be making sounds unique to the model. My previous refrigerators made a low-humming monotone sound, which could lull you to sleep if all other sound devices in the house were turned off;..but this new G.E. model does the opposite. No lulling here...because it produces a 'symphony of discordant sounds'..& all it's sounds are abrasive. Refrigerators usually are a 'background' sound..not a 'center-stage' solo. The question of importance to me is this; is anyone from G.E. reading any of these posts regarding their product? My second major concern is 'how will I know when this appliance has a 'real' need for a repair, since it always sounds as if it is in its 'death-throes'.I will end by saying that if the 'noisiness' were absent, I would have no problem with this model's efficiency.

4 out of 5 stars Loud? Not as loud as people are saying. I really like it.
Jesse Chapman

Great for the price, and people who are saying that it's "too loud" must have had absolutely silent refrigerators before. Yes, when it's running you can hear it, but it doesn't run constantly. My kitchen is connected to the rest of my apartment (basically a studio) and with the TV on I can not hear it. Great purchase, don't let the "loud" reviews scare you away from a good deal.

2 out of 5 stars More noise more often
pbseven

This refrigerator makes more noise more often than any refrigerator I've ever had or that I've heard in my friends and family's homes. And not only is it noisy, but it runs more often than most refrigerators. The most annoying sound is a wheezing, like someone gasping for air, which can go on for 5 minutes or more, and starts up whenever you open the refrigerator door, as well as after periods of relative quiet. From reviews here and on Amazon, it seems that this is common to this model, but the only way to "fix" it is to exchange it for a more expensive model and pay the difference, and maybe a re-stocking fee (depending on where you bought it.).Also, there is only one shelf in the freezer compartment, but I found a shelf for $5 at a hardware store that fit below the installed shelf, and it works just fine.

4 out of 5 stars GE GTH18GBD
M. Kendall

We purchased this fridge one month ago from a brick and mortar electronic store that had a very good price on the unit. I know people say it's loud but I've yet to hear any loud noises coming from this fridge. The fridge does hum and seems to do so longer then most fridges. The humming sound is slightly louder then other fridges but I would not call it a major issue and rarely do I notice it.Pros - works well and very energy efficientcons - tight fridge for space (only 28" in width) so for a large family it may not do the job

See also my review of the FRIGIDAIRE 131545101 TRUNNION. This little plate locks the transmission shaft to the trunnion. When you're replacing the trans, the trunnion and this plate are a must to replace. When we removed the old lock plate, the bolts were so badly corroded that they sheared off anyway. This fit perfectly and did the job.

I purchased mine at a fallout sale - the fallout being that Sub Zero was so threatened by this line of Refrigerator (particularly, as the salesman confessed because of the available "french door" style) that they threatened the store with an "us or them" ultimatum. I am very happy that I went with Liebherr.I've had this appliance now for over a year.Contrary to a few reviews here the temperature is maintained perfectly, and the finish (Stainless) is easily maintained with windex once the initial oils (from other cleaners) are cleaned off (be patient, this takes time or serious rubbing at first but, once done, cleaning is as easy as any stainless). My electric bill seems to reflect the efficiency in lower bills (my last refrigerator was 16 years old). I love the logical design and have no problems with the shelf sizes (I don't buy or stock super sized soda bottles) and the freezer drawers are extremely convenient. The ice maker has jammed once, due to over production of ice (I don't use a lot) but I figured out how to put it back together and it has since worked fine. Most people comment on the little cubes (positively).I don't usually write these, but I am here because of my favorable experience, and, because it seems from what I've heard, and from a few here, the competition is threatened by them and rather than improving their own product is attempting to kill the better one with bad information. Such is modern commerce in the world of the internet.Buy the Liebherr.

5 out of 5 stars We've Owned this Unit for 6 years & LOVE It!
Roger

We bought this refrigerator about 6 years ago and love it.In the beginning there was an issue with the ice maker -an upgrade by the factory, but we never noticed anythingwrong with the original ice maker. As far as cleaning the doors is concerned, I read a reviewhere complaining about having to finish the doors himselfand that the factory only supplied a 2oz bottle of finishsolution. That was a wrong statement. The doors are finished100% at the factory - BUT they are Stainless Steel - whichshows every fingerprint and more. The 2 oz bottle was a"sample" of a cleaner the factory recommends - which is hardto find. I use "Zip" commercial stainless steel spray cleanerand clean cloths. Works fine - absolutely no problem. We like this brand so well, and the style, that we have putthe 24" (non ice maker) in our beach house. These units are well designed, sleek with an European flair, and keep perishables perfect. I love that we can control thetemp "to the degree"!Ok - It's hard to vacuum the air filter because you have to get onyour knees and unscrew several screws that hold the decorativelower air panel in place. Since it is "German" I would havethought that they would have used magnets down there, so theR&R of the panel would be "easy". But really, that is the onlynegative I can think of. We love this machine!By the way, a neighbor of ours has one now (5 years) and theylove theirs too. Everybody who looks at ours thinks it is an"build-in" refrigerator. It is not! It is free standing, butthe design looks like a built-in.

5 out of 5 stars We have only had the unit for a short time, but so far it is outstanding!!
leekruz

We wanted the look of a built in but didn't want the additional cost, this is basically the only company who is filling that particular niche. Really pleased with the appearance and quality and feel it was worth spending a little more money in the long run. If you need a lot of freezer space, it is pretty small, but if not, the two drawer system is convenient andKeeps things really organized. We were a little apprehensive about ordering an appliance online, but it was probably one of the easiest delivery experiences we have had. The unit is shipped to a local delivery company and they contact you to set up a time window, exactly as you would if you bought it locally. Overall, nothing but a positive experience all around.

5 out of 5 stars They thought of everything
Lilmik

I love the way these fridges are organized. Everything feels like it's a much higher quality than your typical KitchenAid, GE, etc. The freezer has a setting to go into superfreeze when you put a bunch of new food in, to almost flash freeze it. I've found my vegetables and leftovers tend to last longer, maybe it has to do with air circulation inside the fridge, or maybe it keeps the temperature more consistent, OR maybe it's because the fridge is so well organized nothing goes missing.

I owned the Electrolux EW23BC85KS counter depth french door refrigerator for four years. I would think the issues apply to both wave and IQ touch models.Short version of this review:Do not buy this appliance. If interested in another Electrolux refrigerator, I would be very wary if the ice maker is similar to the one in this unit. I had issues with the ice maker for 3 of the 4 years I owned this unit. The ice maker would leak and/or stop producing ice very often. The warranty company serviced it twice. The second time, they decided the unit was NOT REPAIRABLE and sent us a check for $3000 to replace it. I'll be honest here. I was relieved when they said that. My warranty expires in about 10 months and I was dreading have to pay for all of these repairs myself. The good:- No problems with the compressor. Freezer was always at 0°F, fridge at 37°F.-There was what I called the "beer drawer" that kept at 33°F. I thought that was fantastic. Beers and sodas were that much better. However, refrigerators at a lower price point put this into a separate door below the french doors (look at the Samsung models) and are almost $1000 less.- I really liked the ice that the machine produced. They were dome-shaped. The sliver-shaped ice that other machines made would tend to "bunch up" at your mouth when drinking a beverage, preventing the liquids from entering your mouth (I know this sound silly). But the dome-shaped ice from this fridge prevented that from happening.- For it being only a 22.6 cu ft fridge, I found that it fit a lot of stuff. Maybe it was the placement of the shelves that we chose, but I didn't feel that it was "that small." I could fit 5 gallons of milk on the bottom left-hand side of the unit.Read more ›

Fausto O. Mauro

Despite paying a pretty penny for our fridge the quality of manufacture is below par. We didn't expect that the lights inside would generate enough heat to blister the ceiling panel. Rather than offering a repair, or product replacement, the manufacturer instead offered a repair kit for $61.00 that essentially consists of two strips of metal foil. This is a manufacturer to avoid! We will never buy another product by Electrolux.

I have had this refrigerator way too long! The doors arrived crooked, the icemaker worked maybe 3 months and never again since regardless of the repairs that never ever fixed the icemaker. The inside shelves chipped a big chunk of metal looking plastic off. I have regretted not doing my homework on this appliance!! I absolutely HATE it. I can't wait to get a new brand this one will not even deserve space in the garage!

1 out of 5 stars Electrolux is Not Reliable
Tracy Schultz

This refrigerator has never worked correctly. The ice dispenser only works occasionally and now the water dispenser freezes solid. Even though the problems have never stopped, Electrolux has stopped fixing them. They now say I have to pay for them because it is out of warranty. Very disappointed in this brand and will never buy another Electrolux product.

2 out of 5 stars cracks in the Electrolux fridge
nicola folkes

I have an older model of this fridge, EI23BC36IS and have had exactly the same melting/cracks in the back panel caused by the lamps that Electrolux installed.Kitchenaid/Electrolux's solution to the problem was that I buy a new fridge and they would give me a rebate of 60% of the cost of the new fridge, not including taxes, delivery or installation.I am thinking they need to rethink their design a little, not to mention the power of the light bulbs they use.....The seal has also split across the top of the freezer drawer so cleaning it is an issue as well. Not terribly impressed and wishing I had just bought a Kenmore for way less.

Christina H. Brown

Cons- small size, much longer shipping than quoted (ships freight)Expected delivery date per Amazon- Aug 26-29. Arrived Sept 10. Tracking was not updated throughout. HCcost reps did email me back quickly but weren't able to assist with the delay in shipping.Pros- The fridge itself seems to be in excellent condition, beautiful, no scratches.***Just FYI to other customers- 9 cubic square feet is SMALL- it stands about 4 ft 9 in tall. We didn't realize this and won't be able to use it for a full size kegerator as intended. Also the bottom is not a solid flat surface, a glass half-shelf slides in the front to meet the plastic that extends half-way forward in the bottom of the fridge and doesn't seem sturdy enough to hold the weight of a keg. It still is a cool piece, but will require some manipulation to put a mini keg in it***

Mary L. Cruz

We were very happy with the LG front loader/dryer and so we purchased the LG refrig - 6 months in the single shelf frame cracked, they said it was "cosmetic" and not covered - $269 and 2 months later the replacement shelf broke in the same place - right in the middle . now the frame for the produce bins has cracked on both sides -"cosmetic" - the bottom door shelf cracked "cosmetic" - the front of the refrig suddenly has 3 streaks of something that won't come off or polish out - the thing works, but you might want to keep it in a closet for produce only - oh yeah, the cover to the light will not stay on - and you would have to unscrew the glass from the frame to get the gunk out, if hot water on high force doesn't help - disgusted with this LG and their lack of service. Buyer beware. Only marking at one star because you have to check something.

1 out of 5 stars Samsung Appliances Are Poor Quality and the Customer Service is Terrible
Franklin S. Martin

This is the worst refrigerator we've every owned and even worse was Samsung's absolutely miserable customer service, complete with falsehoods, elapsed time (weeks, not days). The refrigerator sounded like a helicopter trying to take off (we could hear it over the TV) and then it stopped cooling and freezing. We had to live out of ice chests in our kitchen twice to avoid food poisoning. Buy something else.

I ordered a set of stainless steel Samsung appliances from Home Depot. What a mistake! Two of the four appliances do not work. The freezer door on the refrigerator broke after two weeks. I woke up Sunday morning to find water all over my kitchen floor and the food in my freezer unthawed. The dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes. My 13 year old Kenmore cleaned ten times better. It leaves food on all my dishes and glasses. I have to clean my dishes by hand and use the dishwasher as a drying rack. What about Samsung customer service, you might ask? The absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with from any company in my life. For starters, they tried to make an appointment with a company that no longer services Samsung products. If I had not followed up with the service company, I would still be waiting for a phone call. They do not take Samsung tickets, but Samsung competence did not realize this. This was only my beginning with customer service. Promised follow up phone calls from Samsung, never happened. I will stop here before this becomes a book. I will just say that I will be without a freezer for at least two weeks, and it will be three weeks before they look at my dishwasher. My advice, keep away from all Samsung products at all cost, and as for Home Depot, I received very little help. In the future, I will give all my business to Lowes or Menards.

1 out of 5 stars not so hot
Disappointed

It had been in use in our home for 21 months. Over the last two months we have noticed water accumulating under the produce drawers and freezing there. We have cleaned it out a couple times, checking to make sure that it wasn't just condensation or something spilled but it keeps coming back. I called Samsung. Warranty on everything but the closed compressor system is only 1 year. They would be glad to sell me a service program to get it fixed, but I maintain that an expensive refrigerator should not have a blocked drain that is apparently expensive to fix (whole back of the fridge needs to be disassembled) after less than 21 months. Our old SubZero had this problem as well - when it was almost 20 years old and the drain is in a place where I could clean it myself. Appliance repairs are expensive. Tread lightly with this product.

1 out of 5 stars STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG Please Read and you will see why
The Bouncer

Let me start off by saying I give every manufacturer a chance to correct a mistake I don't expect everything to be perfect and issues can occur. However with that said Samsung should stick to making Phones and other consumer electronics.I bought all new appliances for my house at the end of March 2013. This Samsung refrigerator and a Washer and Dryer. The refrigerator has been decent except for the amount of noise the compressor makes which is due to a variable speed compressor according to two different appliance repair places, scratches in the ice maker area, and water filter replacement. The first appliance repair guy allowed one of the tubes that goes to the compressor to continue to push against the back of the units cover making a terrible vibrating noise. It seems the "authorized" appliance repairmen are hit and miss, some know what they are doing and others do not. the Customer Care line at Samsung would like you to think they care but they do not. My refrigerator arrived with scratches in the ice maker area and a dent in the door. The place that sold me the appliances said they would take care of it, otherwise I would have refused it in this condition. They ordered two different doors the first one was put on and has 3 deep gouges in the ice maker area. The tech told me this is normal and that it would get scratched up anyways. This was a BRAND NEW refrigerator I just paid over 2,500 for this is unacceptable. The second door came in and was even worse it looked like someone had taken a scotch brite pad to it. The tech stated again this is normal he then proceeded to take my cell phone go outside of my house and talk behind my back to the place that sold it to me "Page Appliance" and told them it was a customer issue and that he was losing money. When I asked him why he had gone outside of my house with my cell phone he tried to lie but I called him out on it saying if he didn't have anything to say about me then why would he have to go outside he then basically owned up to it and said it was considered a "customer issue" meaning I was being fussy and unrealistic. I asked him if he would accept a new car with scratches on it he then said no but that many cars come that way and they can be touched up he then went on to tell me that many of the appliance retailers have full time touch up guys in house to repair dents, dings, scratches and missing paint on BRAND NEW APPLIANCES!I have found their is a very limited number of repair shops that are authorized to work on Samsung appliances and some of them that are authorized cannot even do simple troubleshooting or know how to enter the diagnostic modes on the Samsung appliances.Calling Samsung customer care gave little results. They fought with me about sending a new door and finally agreed to do so (this was the second door) which they said they would pull and personally inspect (they must have been asleep) because it looked like a scotch brite pad attacked the door. When the door is shipped it is wrapped in plastic all across the front except for the ice maker area which is black plastic. They do not cover the ice maker area with any protective film. This area scratches extremely easy. Since March the paddle to my ice maker is riddled with scratches and scuffs from normal use, I do not jam glasses under there nor have I been rough with it in any way. Samsung refused to send any more doors for the refrigerator. The second door was never put on the fridge and the appliance repair guy left it in my kitchen and said I could put it out on the curb and scrappers would take it (THIS IS A BRAND NEW DOOR!). The place where I bought the appliance could only offer me the door to their floor model. At this point I threw in the towel over the frustration and time wasted dealing with this issue. I also did not want a floor model that had a door that had been opened and closed multiple times a day for viewing and kids hanging off the handles. Samsung stated it was not a warranty issue so they refused to do anything more even though they previously sent out a door. The technician that came to the house reported to Samsung that I was basically a difficult customer and downplayed the condition of the doors. I reported him to Samsung's department that authorizes technicians because he was clearly incompetent and rude. They never got back to me and nothing ever happened with it. This same technician also worked on my SAMSUNG washing machine that was squeaking terribly and never noticed all the legs were not turned all the way up into the machine when it was seated on its pedestal. More on that on a review of the Washer which I will write separately.Samsung's support and finding something as simple as a Water Filter is an absolute joke as well.I needed to replace my water filter so I started out by reading the manual that came with the Refrigerator. Most manufacturers put the water filter replacement part numbers in their manuals, Samsung however does not. I then went to the Samsung support website to inquire about my filter. It lists no specific information on the website for the water filter. it then refers you to another website setup to look like it is part of Samsung. When putting in my model number on the website it comes up with a water filter that says it has been discontinued. I then decided to click the link that says live support to initiate a chat session. The individual told me the correct filter was located here http://www. samsungparts. com/PartsList.aspx?Catalog=Parts_and_Accessories&PartSearch=DA29-00020B which is the DA29-00020B it does not list my model as a "supported" model at the bottom of the page when I brought this to the persons attention they (Marcia)immediately closed the chat session (very unprofessional). I then called 1-800-SAMSUNG who then referred me to another 800 number which is 1-800-627-4368 which is J&J international which is an authorized parts dealer for Samsung. According to them Samsung does not sell parts directly to the consumer. They want double what the filter costs here on Amazon.Needless to say I will NEVER buy SAMSUNG again. Incompetent rude technicians, a rude subcontracted parts department with inaccurate information on its website. Samsung's lack of putting something as simple as a water filter replacement number in the manual (you'd think since they want you to use ONLY their filters they would advertise them more in their own manual). Along with the fact many places selling the appliances now have little to no experience with Samsung so the delivery and setup guys don't have a clue how to properly set it up.I will be writing a separate review for my Washer from Samsung which has been nothing short of an Epic failure. and include a link to it here in the near future. And to top it all off you cannot buy the DA29-00020B water filter at your local LOWES only Home Depot carries it. 2 out of 5 stars Good fridge, but rather costly ownership
Amazon Customer

Works well so far since we bought it 1.5 years ago. Two door bins have cracked, costing around $60 dollars. Our past refrigerators did not cost us much, each for more than 10 years of service. Those door bins were sturdy, from Wirlpool and GE.More frustrating is that we cannot buy the spare parts. One of the door bins is described as "not available from the manufacturer" across the internet, including Sears Parts. Our Sears sales man told us manufacturers were supposed to keep parts available for at least 10 years by law. Go figure.I do like the fact that the refrigerate side is not nearly as dry as the old fridges, due to the so called twin-cooing, or dual evaporator system.

1 out of 5 stars Problems developing after 2 years; discovered a class action lawsuit vs. Samsung
Citizen #2025

This review is being written as a warning to consumers considering buying a Samsung refrigerator.Prior to this (over a 36 year period) we've owned 2 Kenmore fridges which were reliable and durable, and gave us long service. We bought our SAUMSUNG at a Sears scratch and dent outlet. Various manufacturer's refrigerators were available for us to choose from - we chose the Samsung based on price, features and design without researching the product since we had to replace our failing fridge quickly. Of course, buying in a hurry is always a gamble, and the house has the odds. We got a good price, but was it a good value? Read on and judge for yourself.Recently our Samsung RS263TDWP circulating fan started making a noise which sounded like it was coming in contact with something. After investigating online for known issues I was disappointed to find a class action lawsuit dated October 2010 ([...]) where the plantiff complaints describe the fan noise as a precurser to complete failure of the circulating fan, heater element and cooling coils.Specific to SAMSUNG refrigerators: the cooling coils have a heater element designed to de-ice the cooling coils from time to time. When the heater element fails the cooling coil builds up ice. If enough ice builds up it will impede the circulating fan. Once the circulating fan can no longer circulate cool air within the refrigerator the temperature rises and your food spoils. Some people had problems within weeks, others experienced problems one, two, or three years from date of purchase. I don't recall reading about anyone having the issue greater than 5 years after buying the fridge, so I would expect a life of LESS THAN 5 years for this product.Read more ›

1 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money on Samsung
Ken

Ice maker dumped ice in frozen together clumps within a couple of months after purchase. Called customer service and their solution was to shake the ice tray everytime ice fell. Seriously, do they think I am going to stand there all day waiting for ice to fall and shake the bucket? After several months of trying different things, and paying more than $500 in service visits, it was determined by the last technician that the rear support for the icemaker was broken. It was leaning so water was spilling across the cube dividers and freezing into one clump. The technician said the anchor was a molded piece and could not be replaced. Technician filed an unrepairable ticket with Samsung and said they should replace or refund me for the refrigerator. He warned me that Samsung customer service would give me the run around trying to get me to give up, and he said to be persistent. They put me through their customer service grinder for three weeks and ended up coming back saying it was due to customer abuse. The only way one could possibly break the rear support would be to cral into the freezer compartment and hit it with a hammer. I can assure you I did not do that. Now I have turned to the BBB for help. Take a look at the other Samsung refrigerator reviews on Amazon, and you will see low ratings. Let me tell you that those low ratings are warranted.

1 out of 5 stars LOUD popping noises
Jake

This fridge makes LOUD popping noises (probably metal or plastic expanding/contracting). Samsung says the loud popping sound is "normal". Give me a break! A sound that shoots you out of your chair is "normal"?! Samsung has used cheap materials in manufacturing and won't man up and fix the problem. I’ve found dozens of other customers with the same issue (one person said a repair guy FINALLY found the issue after 3 house calls. It was a back plate behind the heat exchanger that was flimsy metal). The solution Samsung gave me was that I call a service center. If they find a problem the service center can bill Samsung, if not, it's out of my pocket. I've had this fridge for 3 months. Thanks for the great product and service Samsung (yeah, that's heavy sarcasm).

Fridge makes loud popping noises throughout the day and night which Samsung refuses to repair or acknowledge as unusual.Stay away, it will keep you awake at night.

3 out of 5 stars Tick, tick, tick...snap! Bang!
BillyBoy

I purchase this highly rated expensive frig in October 2013. It's beautiful inside and out and keeps everything at the proper temperature. It's roomy and well lighted. It sounds like there's a creature inside trying to get out. Daytime activities step on the noise but night time quiet echos the creatures inside. Troubleshooting problems list these "unusual noises" as normal however I never had a frig making these noises and I go back to ice boxes.
