1 out of 5 stars Disappointing self-cleaning oven feature is a deal breaker
Jamie McCants

This stove looks good and works as expected, except when it comes to the self-cleaning oven feature. There are two settings for oven cleaning: Hi and Lo. Even on the "Hi" setting, it doesn't clean the oven door! And the instructions tell you to not use any sort of oven cleaner (even on the door). What good is having a large viewing window in the oven door if it becomes crusted over with burnt-on food spill? Now I'm going to have to clean the oven door by hand without using oven cleaner. Every other self-cleaning oven I've had always did a great job on the oven door as well as the oven walls. This stove not only doesn't clean the oven door, it doesn't clean the oven walls as thoroughly as previous ovens I've owned. I took great care to choose a stove with a self-cleaning oven feature; unfortunately, none of the many reviews I read reviewed the self-cleaning feature. Because of this problem with inadequate self-cleaning, I would not buy this product again.Another thing I didn't like is that both of the large elements are on the front. It would have been nice to have one of the large elements on the back so that at least one of the small elements could be on front. If you're cooking something in a small pot while also cooking things in two large pots, you have to reach over the large pots to get to the small pot on the back of the stove while taking great care not to get burned by steam coming from the large pots.Things I liked about this stove:stylish looklarge easy-to-see-through oven windowconvection baking feature (not a requirement, but nice to have)oven probe that tells you when your roast has reached desired internal temperaturethree oven racks (rather than just two)hidden element in the bottom of the oven (for ease in wiping up spills)easy-to-use touch control/display panellarge control knobs (easy to turn and to clean)individual element-is-on indicator lightstimed cooking featureoven lighteasy-to-clean solid surface cook topThe clock (keeps accurate time) Read more ›

3 out of 5 stars It's only day two, I am not thrillled but time will tell

This was delivered yesterday. After looking at it there are a few thoughts I have about it and I am not unhappy that I got it but if I hadn't gotten the "Black Friday" price and had to pay full retail I would be a very unhappy camper. It's a nice looking stove. After playing with the controls a bit I wish that both large burners were not on the front. If I am using both of those and I want to use a smaller pan it will involve me trying to avoid steam burns. The drawer underneath is super flimsy. I was keeping my Corning Wear in the bottom drawer with my old oven but I will not with this one.The wire of the shelves is a bit flimsy. I kept a shelf from my old oven and the difference in the thickness is surprising.I used the convection tonight and made a meatloaf and roasted potatoes. The part of the meatloaf that was facing the door got much browner than the back. I will have to remember to rotate the food on the shelves often. It has a temperature probe but it only tells you what temp the food is when you push the button. You can't set an alarm when the food has reached the desired temperature so I will still be buying other probes to cook my meals. The clock isn't on when the oven is engaged. There is no way to set the display back to the clock if the oven is going and if I am cooking a long and slow roast I don't like not being able to see what time it is. I am used to my stove clock being my main time source in the kitchen.I am not unhappy I have it. Would I buy again? I don't know. This is only day two and I am less than thrilled but the price was okay.
