1 out of 5 stars DON"T BUY FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATORS WITH COMPUTERS!

I have gone from frustrated to ANGRY!!!!! I bought a new appliance kitchen set (Frigidaire Professional Series) less then 2 years ago. Thursday night the refrigerator stopped working. I called Frigidaire Corp. 1st thing Friday morning with the code displayed & was told it was the control board between the user interface board & main control board (Power up failiure). Only certain places will repair computer problems & between ordering parts & scheduling someone to come out I am looking at 1 week without a refrigerator (I had to throw all the spoiled food out) & having to go out for meals. The internet blog pages have similar cases of this part going bad early so it is something I may look into further as a class action suit. This refrigerator is less then 2 years old & this is not a part that should have gone bad already. The bill is already up to $300. + and that is if the main board doesn't also have to be replaced. All I am told is that I should have gotten the extended warranty and they are not responsible for repairs once the 1 year warranty is over. The warranty is to cover them for parts that don't last as long as they should or things they need to change on future models and found a way for the consumer to take on the burden of paying for their problems!

3 out of 5 stars Faulty ice maker

Works fine, happy with it, except for the ice maker. If you happen to leave the ice maker unused for over a week, the ice starts melting and leaking all over the floor. Sometimes it also freezes the water line, requiring you to call service or go through a complicated process to pull the fridge out and use a hair dryer on the line (the service tech showed us how to do this).Moral of the story - use the ice maker, turn it off, or be like us and have a damaged floor under your refrigerator.

I can't think of any purchase I regret so much. The first unit was replaced; I'm now on the 2nd. Both are failures. The first unit: 3 visits from the repairman - the fridge wouldn't cool properly - we lost all our food 3X. Many $ lost in wasted groceries, ordering out food, going and getting more groceries. Many phone calls to ream the guys at the appliance store, Fridgidaire customer service and many hours listening to a very steamed wife vent her frustrations. Oh boy, did she ream Tony at the appliance store. And his boss. On multiple occasions. About 2 months go by, we get loaner fridge and finally get Fridgidaire / Electrolux to replace the lemon. The 2nd unit was same model, but a year newer and supposed had addressed some of the design flaws. Now we've had this one for over a year. It hasn't had the same problem. So far, it keeps stuff cold. But it has a very annoying problem with the bottom freezer drawer. Ice will build up in the drawer track (near the internal ice maker). This will only allow the drawer to open about 6 inches. The fix? Get a chair and a hair drier and hold on the track for 15 minutes to thaw ice. Then you can pull open the drawer and spend another 15 minutes clearing the rest of the ice out of the track. Its awkward, hard to reach, and messy. And I have to do this every 2-3 weeks. Not your idea of fun? Then avoid this lemon of a shoddy product.

The Frigidaire refrigerator along with their other appliances are poorly made and only last a couple of years. The customer service is unhelpful and uncaring. The ice maker stopped working shortly after the warranty ran out (it never worked properly). It has been repaired twice at my expense using Frigidaire replacement parts. The parts lasted approximately 3 months before giving out. If I want ice, I go to the grocery store, buy a bag and fill up the ice maker in my very expensive refrigerator. The technician who fixed my appliances said that this is a common problem. I asked what appliances he likes for durability and he said Whirlpool.... wish I had gone with those instead of Frigidaire.

1 out of 5 stars Stay away from this company, they make bad products.
Amazon Customer

Yes I agree, their electrical design for these products are incredibly faulty. The only give you a one-year warranty regardless of the consumer outcry found literally everywhere on appliance related websites. The control panel was designed to work with most of their models, so it's hard to escape it. To be safe stay away from this company when buying refrigerators, or any of their products for that matter. If they lack product responsibility for the refrigerators, it's probably the same with any other Frigidaire product.
